Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of the organizing committee we would like to invite you (Invitation.pdf) to attend the 1^st Euro-Mediterranean Conference on Marine Natural Products (EMCMNP-I) which will be held at the Pyramisa Resort & Villas, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt from October 31^st to November 4^th, 2008. This location is famed for its wealth of marine life and will host some of the most recent trends and discoveries in the field of marine natural products as well as providing a platform for increased collaboration between Euro-Mediterranean scientists.

The meeting will be organized into major themes embracing Drug Discovery, Isolation and Structure Elucidation, Biosynthesis and Molecular Aspects, Bioprospecting and New Frontiers, Marine Biotechnology, Marine Biodiversity and Chemical Ecology, Marine Toxins and Aquaculture. A major emphasis will be on the understanding and the importance of marine biological and chemical diversity in our oceans as an emerging source for future drug discovery and development.
